Deciding to start a coaching project is the first step in the process of bringing important changes to your professional and/or personal life. It may be that you have been postponing the decision to make a change in you life for some time, or that you have tried and failed to embrace change in the past. There are several steps you can take to prepare for coaching:

•   Identify your goals: It can be helpful to have a clear understanding of what you hope to achieve through coaching. Consider what you want to work on and what specific changes you hope to make.

•   Reflect on your current situation: Take some time to think about your current circumstances and how they may be impacting your goals. Consider any challenges or obstacles that you may be facing.

•   Gather any relevant materials: If there are any documents or other materials that may be useful for your coaching sessions, make sure to have them on hand. This could include things like your resume, a list of your responsibilities at work, or a budget.

•   Make a commitment: Coaching requires a level of commitment and dedication. Make a commitment to yourself to fully participate in the coaching process and to take action on the goals you set.

•   Choose a coach: It's important to choose a coach that you feel comfortable with and who has the skills and expertise to support you in achieving your goals. Do some research and consider asking for recommendations from friends or colleagues.
