After graduating in Biological Sciences and Art History from the University of California, David Crosby moved to Italy to begin his career as a journalist, writing about contemporary art for publications including Flash Art, Zoom Magazine, FMR and the International Herald Tribune.

When the arts-publishing industry found a cold welcome in the new millennium, David earned his MBA at O.U. Business School in Milton Keynes (UK) and set off on a new career in Italy training and coaching business leaders for corporate clients like Aon, Banca Intesa, Bocconi University, HSBC, Deloitte, KPMG and many others.

Crosby’s company name, Actin, was borrowed from that of a human protein that plays an essential role in our muscles’ ability to contract. In its compressed helical form, actin stores potential energy like a spring that can then be released when needed. In a similar way, all of us encompass potential energy that we can choose to keep coiled and inert or to access in the form of new actions, behaviours and projects. The goal of coaching is to identify those new desired actions and unblock the energy within that we need to realize our fuller potential.

A CCP-certified coach, David Crosby takes a holistic and tailored approach to working with clients in relaxed one-on-one sessions, in-person or online. In seeking to help people become healthier, more confident leaders, he works with clients to assess their current situation — at work and at home — and develop goals that are stimulating while remaining realistic. Step by step, and with ongoing accountability, clients are challenged to experiment with new choices and communication styles that promote a more trustful, open management practice, while carefully redeploying the time and empowerment necessary to strike a necessary balance between our professional and personal lives.
